Unazuki Onsen
Toyama’s largest hot-spring town and the gateway to Kurobe Gorge Railway. Clear mildly alkaline water feeds ryokan, a public bath and free footbaths, while compact streets offer mountain and river views.
Kurobe Gorge and Trolley Railway
A deep V-shaped gorge explored by the open-sided Kurobe Gorge trolley train from Unazuki. The line follows the river past bridges, cliffs, forests and secluded hot springs. It normally operates from late April into late November, with the reachable terminus depending on restoration and operating status.
Fugan Canal Kansui Park
A landscaped canal park about nine minutes on foot from Toyama Station, centred on Tenmon-kyo Bridge, waterside lawns and views toward the Tateyama mountains. Seasonal cruises connect the park with Iwase.
Toyama Castle Park
A central city park around Toyama Castle’s reconstructed keep, moat and Local History Museum. It is easily combined with the Glass Art Museum and tram network.
Toyama Glass Art Museum
A contemporary glass museum inside Toyama Kirari, the striking Kengo Kuma-designed library and cultural complex. The upper-floor Glass Art Garden and changing exhibitions make it a strong indoor stop in any season.
