Tokyo Bay Sunset & Lovers Sanctuary Illumination
Best visited from 30 minutes before sunset into twilight, when the western sky glows crimson behind Mount Fuji and the bridge lights turn on.
Arched 27 meters above the waves of Kisarazu Port and spanning 236 meters in length, Nakanoshima Bridge is the tallest pedestrian bridge in Japan. Certified as a sacred "Lovers Sanctuary" (恋人の聖地), its sweeping vermilion arch is illuminated in the evening, providing a romantic twilight and night panorama over Tokyo Bay, passing cruise ships, the Keiyo Industrial factory lights, and Mount Fuji across the water.
