A broad, shallow sandy beach on the Pacific side of Oarai, used for swimming, surfing, wading and coastal sunsets. It forms part of a larger seaside trip with Oarai port, seafood markets and the famous Kamiiso-no-Torii farther north.
Mito’s landscaped garden is especially associated with plum blossoms, alongside other seasonal flowers and foliage. Plum flowering varies each year; check garden notices and separate pavilion access.
