Ginza
Tokyo’s flagship shopping and architecture district, known for department stores, galleries, restaurants and weekend pedestrian periods on Chuo-dori.
Shibuya Sky
A 229-metre observation experience above Shibuya Station, with indoor galleries and a broad open-air rooftop facing the scramble crossing and Tokyo skyline. Timed tickets often sell out and the rooftop may close when wind, rain or lightning makes it unsafe.

Hida Takayama Tezutsu Fireworks Performance
An annual riverside performance in which trained handlers hold cylindrical tezutsu fireworks that release fountains of sparks. The 2026 event took place on August 9 from 19:30 to 21:00 along the Miyagawa between Miyamaebashi and Fudobashi, about a 15-minute walk from Takayama Station.
Korankei Gorge
A wooded riverside valley in Toyota’s Asuke district, known for autumn maple viewing. Allow extra time for the walking approach and seasonal traffic.
